Even though I didn't ever have the opportunity to get to know my great grandpa I will miss him and am saddened that he will never get to meet my husband and eventually any children we may have. One day we will meet in heaven and then we can have plenty of time to catch up.
Love your great granddaughter

Dear Carol.....My thoughts and feelings are with you! I hope you and your family are well? Please do know that your Dad was never alone on my watch! He was A funny man! And had much to say! LOL...He always did! At least as long as I had the opportunity To enjoy his company! I remember one nite.....I worked overnite, and your dad and I sat and drank, like four cups of coffee together.....And he was telling stories....He just seemed to be sooo enjoying himself, talking in the middle of the night....I think of this now, And feel greateful that I had that time with him! I truly wish you, and your family well! See you later today! This is from Kimberly, the 3-11 nurse who will sooo miss your Dad! It is way too Quiet now! Love to All.....

Dear Bob, George, Carol and family,
My brother Charlie called to tell me your Dad's obituary was in today's paper. I know he wanted to live to be 100 and he came darn close. I think of him often as being the oldest living member of our parents' family and wishing I could have talked to him about family geology. I've recently taken it up, and without someone to fill in the blanks, it's really tough. I'll always remember the family gatherings and your Dad playing the accordian and singing for us. My funniest recollection is how he gave up smoking and told (showed) others how to do it. Sorry I can't be there, but do know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Treasure the memories. Love to all,
Millie Tomisman (Higgins)
