Alma J. Sousie

Sousie, Alma J. TROY Alma J. Sousie, 71, of 751 River St., died Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Marion Clothier Joy. She was raised in the Snyder's Corners area. Alma has been employed for the past ten years at Softex. Prior to that she was employed at Standard Manufacturing Co. and Marvin Neitzel. Survivors include her children, Deborah Chaplin (Ron) of Troy, James Gerst (Lori) of Clifton Park, John Gerst (Loretta) of Troy, Tina Gerst (Edward) of Stillwater and Robert Fosmire of Schaghticoke. She is sister of Leonard Joy of Troy, Rufus Joy of Stillwater, Francis Joy of Troy, the late William, Gene and John Joy. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be Thursday at 4 p.m. at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte. 32), Waterford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 2-4 p.m. prior to the service.
