Amie Wilson Obituary

Wilson, Amie C. LANCASTER Amie Carolyn Wilson, 38, passed away suddenly at her home on Thursday, January 20, 2022. Amie was born on April 25,1983, at the Air Force base hospital in Mountain Home, Idaho. She graduated from Greenville High School in Greenville, attended Columbia Greene Community College in Hudson, studying photography, and graduated from Austin Beauty School with a cosmetology license. Amie was in the beauty industry for over 18 years and led teams for over 10-plus-years, earning her many awards, honors, and experience. She loved her work and clients, and was adored by many. Her interests included reading, writing, and exploring other forms of art. She enjoyed learning about different cultures, and loved to spend time with her family and pets. Amie donated much of her time to helping others, such as contributing to Clip for a Cure and Cut for a Cause, both of which raised money for breast cancer awareness and research, and she enjoyed helping cats and kittens. She donated to AnimalKind, and even rescued stray cats and helped them find new homes. Amie owned many cats, but her most recent fur babies are named Rowdy, Beebo, Misch, and Rory. Amie would also fundraise for friends and family in need. She loved spending time with her niece, Madeline, and they went on many adventures together. Amie is survived by her boyfriend, Michael Harig of Lancaster; her mother and stepdad, Paula and Norman Mueller of Land O'Lakes, Fla.; her father and stepmom, William and Beth Wilson of Crestview, Fla.; her sister, Jenna (Kenny) Foster of Watervliet; and her niece, Madeline Foster of Watervliet, as well as many other family members and friends. Amie was predeceased by her best friend, Dave Oropallo; her grandparents, Charlotte and Nicolas Stark, Joyce Chiesa, Carolyn Schmidt, and William Wagner Sr.; and her uncle, William Wagner, Jr. Amie will be dearly missed by family and friends, but will continue to be loved and adored. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations in Amie's name may be made to AnimalKind in Hudson, and Whiskers Animal Benevolent League in Albany. Arrangements are by Amigone Funeral Home, Inc.

It's been just over 3 years since you've passed, far too early. I think about you often and miss you! I hope you are resting peacefully with Dave. You are loved by many. I will never forget you, Amie!

Amie was my aunt, I was closer to her than most people that came into my life. I wrote this obituary myself with help from my family, and I wanted to say thank you so much for all of the kind messages and fond memories that have been shared here. She talked about each of you fondly, I recognise every name on here. Amie loved everyone, and I think in turn that caused everyone to love her.

I'm so sorry to hear about Amie. I went to Austin Beauty School with Amie years ago. We were friends in school. This is so sad she was so very talented and kind. Again I'm so sorry for your loss and I send my condolences out to her family and friends at this time.

I am so sorry for everyone who lost Amie. I am so shocked and confused. When I first started at Ulta Beauty, Aime was the one who trained me, who helped me with transitioning into cosmetic retail. Aime always made sureI was ok, she'd always check in and ask me if I needed anything. When my Dad passed in 2019, I was completely broken. But Aime was there to talk with me about losses. She told me about her best friend,David, who passed and I could see she was in so much pain. But there she was, comforting me. That's just the type of person Aime was. When her clients would come in, you could just see how happy they were because Aime always made the feel beautiful and confident, everyday! She was so strong and I will always admire her for that, there is and will never be a person like Amie. Friend, confidant, a vault full of nothing but thoughts of helping others. She even helped me try to find a good cosmetology school so I could get my license! I love you Amie and I appreciate you more than you would ever know. You helped mold me into the person I am today. A person who would have never thought of going to school for cosmetology, or someone who would even dream of being a makeup artist. I will forever admire, love, and miss you with everything I have in me. I will absolutely miss our talks and all of the teaching and lessons you've given me.
