Sandy, David, Michael and Family:
I am so sorry about your loss.
Amos was such a big part of my life When I was in my 20s 30s and yes even 40s as a member of the DFD family. I always loved hearing his amazing stories that he would tell me as he was making me a special drink at the 4:30 clubs.
Amos was a dedicated husband, father, firefighter and Ems.
Amos will be missed and I am proud to say I was blessed to have Amos as my friend. God bless you all. Love Deb

Sandy,Mike, David
we are very sorry to hear about Amos passing.
He was certainly a remarkable guy, dedicated to his family and his friends and his Fire Dept.
He will be greatly missed by all but we should celebrate all the good things that happened along the way.
During my 46 year association and friendship with Amos. It was certainly memorable to me. From the good times with the "4 amigos " at sycamore golf course, the softball games, the parties and picnics. The Fire service knowledge and ability he exhibited and shared was inspiring. It seemed like whatever he did, he gave it 110%

I was saddened to learn of "Junior's" passing, as he was a special cousin. As a young teenager, I would love riding up and down Central Ave. in his fast, wild cars! I will miss him and pray he's at peace.

Sandy and family,
Amos and I have been friends for a long time and have had many adventures, some of which you're better off not knowing about. :)
He was a true craftsman, a great firefighter and an OK golfer.
Amos touched many lives and was always willing to help, no matter the task. I'm sure he's already tinkering and puttering somewhere and creating something wonderful.
Rest in peace buddy, you've earned it!

Sandy, Dave and family
where to begin? Amos and I had so many adventures together, some of which might be better left untold. We shared good times and bad both in the fire house and on the softball field and I could always count on him for support. He was a true craftsman, an. OK golfer and a passionate fireman. We'll miss him terribly and share your sorrow. Please don't hesitate to call on us if we can help in any way.

Sandy, Dave, Meredith and family, Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Amos was a Renaissance man - part engineer and part artist. We both enjoyed talking to him at length about many topics. It was clear that his grandchildren were his pride and joy. His involvement in the local fire and EMS community was second to none and he helped many neighbors during his time of service. Amos was one of those memorable characters who you meet and will never forget. Rest easy, Amos. Joe & Debbie Fee

We met Amos about 20 yrs ago when Brion and I moved to Delmar and Amos made Brion "honorary" fire dept member. Which really just meant Brion played on the Fire dept softball team and we could go to all the fire dept parties . The parties with Amos were a blast and I would sit and listen to his stories and history lessons for hours. Amos helped Brion out when he was laid off, which meant so much to us. He built me a beautiful kitchen in our first house and gave our daughter Anna her first donut! When Anna was very sick and I couldn't wake her up, I didn't call 911, I called Amos, he came in no time. My family just loved him and he will be missed. I hope he meets up with Brion in heaven, they have some catching up to do. RIP, I'll never forget you.

Sandy,

I had the great pleasure of getting to know Amos, pretty well, over the past few years. We always shared a few laughs at/with one another. Perhaps that is because we both enjoyed telling stories, and embellishing upon them. In other words . . lying!! I always enjoyed my chance encounters with Amos. He was a kind and giving man, and will truly be missed by those who knew him. Despite our relatively brief relationship, I considered him good friend.

My sincere condolences to you and your family.
