Ann Molesevich Obituary

Molesevich, Sister Ann D.C. MENANDS Sister Ann Molesevich, D.C. 78, died Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Born in Shamokin, Pa. on July 2, 1939, Sister Ann was one of three children born to Ann (Ryniak) and Peter Molesevich. Sister Ann joined the Community of Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul on January 13, 1976. She was 41 years vocation as a Daughter of Charity. Sister Ann graduated from Kulpmont High School in 1956, and continued her education in the United States Navy as a civilian from 1956 to 1969 for government work in Philadelphia, Pa. Early in her ministry, Sister Ann served in Pastoral Care at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, Conn., St. Mary Magdalene Parish, Buffalo, Catholic Charities, the Bronx, St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, a second time, Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton, N.Y. in Pastoral Care and as Sister servant at St. Mary's Hospital, Troy, St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, a third time and Providence Hospital, Washington, D.C. In January of 2017, Sister joined the Ministry of Prayer at St. Louise Residence in Menands and volunteered at the Rourke Center in Troy. Sister Ann is survived by her brother, Peter; her sister-in-law Diane; her brother-in-law, Frank (Betty Anne) Bergonia; niece, Pam (Joe) Nichols and their three children, Connor, Riley and Grace; niece, Alicia (Joe) Slachta and their three daughters, Emma, Lola and Stella; and a nephew, Francis (Jen) Bergonia and their two sons, Cade and Sage. She is also survived by her close friend, Sister Diane Louttit, D.C., and her Sisters in community. Sister Ann was predeceased by her sister, Theresa Bergonia. A wake service for Sister Ann Molesevich, D.C. will be held on Monday, November 13, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the DePaul Provincial House Chapel, 96 Menand Road, Menands. A Mass of Christian Burial for Sister Ann will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 14, at 10:30 a.m. in the DePaul Chapel. Burial will take place on Thursday, November 16, in Patronage of the Mother of God Cemetery in Marion Heights, Pa. Donations in her memory may be made to the Daughters of Charity, Provence of St. Louise, 4330 Olive St., St. Louis, MO, 63108. Online condolences may be offered at danielkeenanfuneralhome.com
