Ann Roe Obituary

Roe, Ann
EAST GREENBUSH - Ann Stella Maris Dubner Roe, a dear mother, wife, sister, and friend, has passed away, peacefully at home, with family, on January 8, 2025.
Ann was born on November 9, 1951, to Paul and Veronica Dubner, in Huntington, N.Y., the fourth of their eight children.
She attended St. Philip Neri School on Long Island, and made her Confirmation at Our Lady of Fatima in Delanson, where the family made their home. She graduated from Duanesburg High School in 1969, and from Mary McClellan Hospital School of Practical Nursing in 1971, after which she began working as an Licensed Practical Nurse. In 1991, Ann completed graduate studies at Russell Sage, becoming a Registered Nurse. In her nursing career, Ann worked for Dr. Max Moravic in his private practice in Schenectady, for CDPHP, for Teresian House, as a private duty nurse, and for a group of doctors in East Greenbush.
Ann had a lifelong interest in supporting wellness and health through nutrition, activity, and holistic strategies, and continued to study and develop her practice throughout her life. She studied with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, becoming an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach for Women, and studied and was certified in Reiki and Therapeutic Touch. As a Certified Holistic Health Coach and Registered Nurse, she created her own business: Better Body and Soul.
Ann was a talented musician with a wonderful singing voice, and enjoyed writing and performing music. She played guitar and sang as part of the duo Dubner and Dunn, with the choir at St. Henry's Church and, later, with the choir at the Church of Saint Mary. Ann enjoyed volunteering and worked for many years supporting the thrift store and outreach mission at St. Mary's.
Ann is survived by her husband, Robert Jenkins; his children, Aaron Jenkins, Jeremy Jenkins, Ana Jenkins, and Sonia (Mario) Carnes; her daughter, Gretchen Amy Ingersoll; and son-in-law, Tobias Seamon; her seven brothers and sisters, Joe (Harriet Husemann) Dubner, Mona (Fred) DeMay, Marthe (Gary) Seales, Peter (Mary Jane) Dubner, David (Louise) Dubner, Elizabeth (David) Courtney, and Stephen (Ellen) Dubner; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, and friends.
Calling hours will be held in the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Turnpike, on Wednesday, January 15, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will celebrated at the Church of Saint Mary's at Clinton Heights, 163 Columbia Turnpike, on Thursday, January 16, at 10 a.m.

I offer my condolences to her Husband Bob and her family and friends. She had the voice of an angel. She and my late husband sang in the Church of St. Mary at Clinton Heights and I got to know her as a loving, caring friend. I admired her wonderful sense of humor. I liked how she wore her different hats and clothing. She will be missed.
