Ann Ryan Obituary
GUILDERLAND - Ann Patricia Ryan, 87, of Guilderland, the loving wife of the late John L. Ryan Jr., mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at home on September 18, 2025. Pat prioritized family and friendship. Born in Cohoes, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late James Nelson Bisnett and Lillian May Lavigne Bisnett.
Pat attended Cohoes High School before graduating from Samaritan Hospital of Nursing, Troy, N.Y., where she earned a Registered Nurse (RN) degree. She was a dedicated nurse for over 44 years, caring for and helping others.
Family meant everything to Pat. She enjoyed cooking for large family gatherings and having family together brought her immense joy. She loved her children dearly and she cherished her four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pat is survived by her brother, Thomas (Diane) Bisnett; sisters, Lois Comley, Barbara DeMase, Mary Carey, and Susan (Greg) Bisnett-Cobb; her children, Shelly (Ernest) Ryan-Schrader, Paula Ryan, Tracy (Christopher) Giglio, and Timothy Ryan; grandchildren, Erin (Tay) Giglio, Kathryn (Joshua) Bland, Anna Giglio and Christopher Ryan; great-grandchildren, James Bland, Joseph Bland, and Brooks Bland.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, who passed in 2023; her parents; sister, Kay Clayton; and brothers, James and Robert Bisnett.
A Visitation will be held on October 10, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, N.Y., 12205. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on October 11, 10:00 a.m., at Saint Madeline Sophie Catholic Church, 3500 Carman Rd., Schenectady, N.Y. 12303.
