SARATOGA SPRINGS - Anna Boyar, 99, of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., passed into eternal rest on October 22, 2025, at The Eddy Village Green in Cohoes.
Anna was born in Kholmshchyna, Ukraine, and was the daughter of the late Jurij and Olga Lukashchuk; and loving wife of Mykola Boyar, who passed away in 1991. Anna had been employed as a retail manger. She was a member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Troy. Anna is survived by her son, George Boyar M.D. (spouse, Myra Rubycz-Boyar M.D.); and her daughter, Marta Melnyk (spouse, Peter Melynk). She was the grandmother Kristina Bisceglia (spouse, Gaetan), Andrew Melnyk D.O. (spouse, Vince Escobar) and Juri Boyar. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Sienna and Braeden Bisceglia; and her nieces, Katherine Rosikiewicz (spouse, Adam) and Helen Slabodukh; as well as extended family in Ukraine and Canada.
The funeral service for Anna will be held on Monday morning, at 11:30 a.m., at The Ukrainian Orthodox Church of The U.S.A., South Bound Brook, N.J.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may call at the church on Monday morning, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 am
Interment will follow at St. Andrew's Cemetery, South Bound Brook, N.J.
