Anna Zumbo Obituary
LATHAM - Anna Panetta Zumbo, age 95, entered into eternal rest on July 16, 2023. Anna was born in Albany, the daughter of the late Dominic and Mary Panetta.
Anna was a bookkeeper at her family's businesses, Panetta's Restaurant in Menands, Jack's Liquor Store, and Antipasto's Restaurant, in Clifton Park.
She enjoyed many trips to Vegas and to Saratoga Racetrack. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years Joachim "Jack"; siblings, Catherine, Joseph, Rosemary, Charles and Marion. She is survived by her children, Joseph Zumbo Esq., Donna Zumbo, Steven Zumbo, Regina Zumbo-Colfels (Chris) and Christopher (Pam) Zumbo; grandchildren, Jennifer, Giulianna, Andrew Gioacchino Zumbo, and Nicklaus Colfels. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family wishes to thank the dedicated health workers at Teresian House, Floor 2 A, for the excellent care given to Anna.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hour on Saturday, July 22, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet Shaker Road, Latham, NY. All are invited to attend her funeral Mass following at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands, NY.

I wish I could be there to give my condolences in person to my cousins Joe, Donna, Steve, Gina, and Chris. I am so sorry for your loss, which is our loss too, as she was the last of our grandparents' children. I have many fond memories of your mom, my Aunt Anna, especially from my childhood and adolescence, at family gatherings--picnics, weddings, birthday celebrations. I just looked at all the photos of her in Uncle Charlie's "Panetta Heirloom" collection; they made me smile but also brought tears to my eyes. And speaking of weddings, I've always appreciated her coming all the way down here to Louisiana with my mother to attend mine. That meant so much to me and Gail. May she rest in peace.
