Annette Sternbach Obituary

Sternbach, Annette COHOES Annette Krasnow Sternbach, 85, of the Eddy Village Green in Cohoes, died on Sunday morning, August 26, 2012. Born in NYC, Mrs. Sternbach has been a Capital District resident since the 1960's, she received her bachelor's degree from Baruch College in NYC. Annette had been employed as a claims examiner for the New York State Dept of Labor, Schenectady office retiring several years ago. She was a member of Congregation Agudat Achim and their sisterhood in Schenectady. Annette was married to Henry Sternbach until his passing in 2002. She is survived by two daughters, Sheila Hand and her husband Gary of Selkirk, N.Y. and Zena Langer and her husband Matthew of Scarsdale, N.Y.; and a son, Efrem Sternbach and his wife, Mary of Brooklyn, N.Y.; grandmother of Alisa Hand, Michael, Laura and Charlotte Sternbach and Benjamin and Monica Langer. Services at Congregation Agudat Achim, 2117 Union Street in Schenectady on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in the Agudat Achim Cemetery in Rotterdam. Friends are invited to call as the home of Sheila and Gary Hand, 90 Dorchester Avenue in Selkirk on Wednesday commencing at 5 p.m. Those wishing to remember Annette in a special way may make a memorial contribution to the Eddy Village Green, 421 West Columbia Street, Cohoes, N.Y. or to Congregation Agudat Achin, 2117 Union Street, Schenectady, N.Y. 12309.
