Anthony Bastiano Sidoti

ALBANY On St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 2005, retired Albany Police Detective Anthony (Bastiano) Sidoti, son of the late Gaetano and Mattia Sidoti, slipped away peacefully to answer the Lord's call and be reunited with his wife Mary Goitz and their sons, Louis and Richard at the table of the Lord. He is survived by his precious daughter, Bernadette C. Sidoti whom he entrusted to the care of her siblings; his son, Thomas L. Sidoti and his wife Patricia and their children, Anthony, Martha, Pamela, Cynthia, Melissa, Mathia, Michael, Thomas and Mary Christina Sidoti; his daughter-in-law, Mary G. Sidoti, wife of the late Louis Sidoti and their son, Dr. Louis Sidoti; son, Anthony L. Sidoti and his wife Antoinette and their children, Angela and Anthony Sidoti; son, Joseph R. Sidoti and his wife Rosalie and their children, Gina, Joseph, Marisa, Mattia and Jeffrey Sidoti; daughter, Mary Martha Fazio and her husband Tony and their children, Anthony T. and Marcello Fazio; daughter, Frances Paula McCoy and her husband William and their children, Krista, Laura, Gregory, Marc, Mara and Christopher McCoy; his sisters, Anna Marino, Frances Sleasman and Amelia Belschwinder, all of Clinton Heights; his brother, Thomas Sidoti of Las Vegas, Nev. He is also survived by 34 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Catherine Restifo, Pauline Carlotti, Rose Gaudreau and Rita Minnisale. The family would like to thank the NYS Police, Dover County for the professional courtesy extended to Detective Sidoti on February 13, 2004. The family also wishes to thank the Albany Police Department for their services to a fellow comrade. We also wish to thank each and every person entrusted to care for our Dad during his illness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Teresa of Avila Church, 435 New Scotland Ave. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave. on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will follow the Mass in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
