I remember we volunteered together for the Pumpkin Run in 2022. He was posted next to me (albeit many meters away... we were in looking-at-each other distance) and even though we were definitely supposed to be working (we did!), Anthony kept doing silly stuff to boost the morale of our somewhat boring volunteer job. It ranged from whistling competitions to making motions with our lighting sticks at each other. When no one was near us, we´d meet in the middle to talk and chat before running back to our posts to do what we were supposed to be doing. He was so, so, so funny and full of excitement and life. I had so much fun that day, and I could tell he did too.
He loved his family a lot. I know me and him were around the last ones to get picked up. He would not stop talking about how much he loved his sister and how cool she was. It was so sweet to see.
I´ve done stuff with him other times too. I just remember that one specifically. I wish I had made an effort to connect even more with him. He was such a lovely guy. I´m going to miss him a lot. He had an impact on me that he probably thought he wouldn´t ever have.

AJ opened the door for me many mornings at the high school with a heartfelt hello. He was a bright spot in the morning. I am so sorry for your loss.

May his memory always be a Blessing and may you be granted grace and peace throughout this difficult time.
Lean not into your own understanding, but on the guidance of the words of the Lord in the Bible. He will turn everything for good and he will make disciples of all who go through this with you and prepare them all to be of service for all those who have to face such a terrible tradegy. God Bless You all.
With Deepest Sympathy,
Claire
