Attilio Crisafulli Obituary

Crisafulli, Attilio Q. LOUDONVILLE Attilio Q. Crisafulli, 87, entered eternal life on Monday, May 31, 2021, with his loving family watching over him. Born in Antillo, Messina, Sicily he was the son of the late Joseph and Domenica Curto Crisafulli. Attilio emigrated to the United States with his family in 1949 and became a proud naturalized citizen in 1959. He became a true patriot of his new country by serving in the United States Army. Attilio went on to share in the American Dream by having a beautiful family, and success in business. He was president for almost 50 years of both A. & I. Crisafulli General Contractors, and Crisafulli Realty. He was a longtime member of the West Albany Italian American Benevolent Society; and although Attilio enjoyed playing cards, traveling, and gardening, his greatest pleasures came from spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and other family members. He was the loving husband for 63 years of Italia Sanfilippo Crisafulli, whom he married on August 4, 1958; beloved father of Dr. Joseph A. Crisafulli (Rosemarie) and Lisa P. Bedian (George); cherished grandfather of Joseph D. Crisafulli (Katie), Dr. Maura Kate Crisafulli, Taramarie Rose Crisafulli, Daniel G. Bedian and Thomas J. Bedian; great-grandfather of Joseph F. Crisafulli and Caroline Crisafulli; brother of Charles Crisafulli (late Judy), Lee Pietrocola (Richard) and the late Mary Curto, Joseph Crisafulli, James Crisafulli, and Fiore Crisafulli; brother-in-law of Nancy Crisafulli and Nina Crisafulli; he is survived by 35 nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the Angels that cared for Attilio in his last days, along with The Community Hospice. My sympathies to Tillie and the entire family. Tony was such a great guy and he was one of the best supporters and truest friends I ever had. I met him in 1986 soon after I bought my first home and I remember him helping with it. I remember him always calling me the Irishman and that he built a home right near his and wanted me to move there. He took all around the area in Loudonville. I loved the guy because he was a real man. I remember eating dinner with him at Little Italia on Central Ave; he would bring his wife Tillie and I would bring a date. I am sure he is in Heaven but I shocked and disheartened that he passed away. I shall miss Tony for the rest of my life.

I would like to offer my condolences to the whole CRiSIFULLI family. Tony was like a father to me, also a dear friend and Mentor. I worked for him for 30 years. He will be missed.
