Barbara Boivin Obituary

Boivin, Barbara A. CLIFTON PARK Barbara A. Boivin, daughter of the late Mary (Kolacz) and Sylvester Maxwell of Cohoes passed away in the early hours of April 24, 2010 hand-in-hand with her husband and lifelong sweetheart. She was 77 years old and has resided in Clifton Park since 1976. Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Robert Boivin, with whom she shared 55 blissful years; her six devoted children, Barbara J. (Timothy Parker), Bruce, Brenda (Andrew Kinstler) Brian (Tanya Carlson), Bradley (Beth) and Bentley (Sara), and her five grandchildren, Jake Kinstler, Benjamin and Brittany Boivin, and Emily and Maxwell Boivin. She was the sister of the late Thomas Maxwell, the late John (Helen) Maxwell, the late Edward (Sophie) Maxwell, Virginia (George) Opela, Isabel (Casimer) Drosky, and William (Carol) Maxwell. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews and the countless people whose life she touched. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, homemaker, and friend. While Bob worked to make a living, Barbara worked at home to make the living worthwhile. She committed her boundless energy to fostering a family full of love, support, and happiness. Once her family had grown and securely found their place in the world, Barbara became office manager for her son Bradley's landscaping business for 21 years. In her final days, Barbara left a note to thank her family and friends for the cards, calls, and visits that filled her with encouragement and hope as she struggled with her illness. Your words and prayers made a difference. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 28 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Michael's Church, Ontario Street, Cohoes. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Marra and Boivin Funeral Homes, corner of Remsen and Columbia St., Cohoes Tuesday, April 27 from 4-8 p.m.

She left a good impression on me to see her take care of her son's daily business affairs while your wife takes care of your children and allow you be hands on with your work on the job site. She was someone you can trust, priceless !

Dear Bob, Barbie, Bruce, Brenda, Brian, Bradley and Bentley and all of your families,

I know that there are no words that really help when you have lost the core of your family, but I do know that they are appreciated. So, I will say that I will always remember Barb and her smile, her great laugh and her genuine warm personality. I know how much she was loved by my parents and I know that they are just two out of many. I remember with happiness the trips to Syracuse and how much fun we had as kids and I know being a mother myself, that it was Barb at the center of making sure we had such great times. Barbara raised a wonderful bunch of kids, she had the true and constant love of Bob, she laughed often and earned the affection of many....she lived a wonderful life....she succeeded! My heart goes out to each and everyone of you today. I hope you find comfort in all of your memories as they will bring her love back to you across time, space and eternity. With sincere sympathy and love,
Laurie, Michael, Daniel, Lauren and Julianne

Brad, Beth, Ben, Britt and all the other "Bs" God must truly have a special place picked out for this beloved woman in his heavenly garden to reward her for the many earthly gifts she sowed for him while on this earth....including her children and grandchildren...who live on as a tribute to her. Brad is such a completely positive and inspirational human being. His little corner of the earth at 34 Oakwood with Beth, Ben & Britt is always warm, welcoming and brings a smile. God Bless and comfort each of you. With much love Joanne, Bob, John, Bobby and Ally

Dear Bob, Barbie, Bruce,Brenda, Brian,Brad, Bently, Spouses and Grandchildren, I send our deepest sympathy to all of you for the loss of one of the most wonderful people that there ever was. I know what you are all going through, but I hope you realize that Barb was one of our families favorite and most special people. We all loved her, especially my Mother and Father. What would Joce have done without Barb. We all can have the comfort of knowing that Frank and Jocie will be right behind Our Lord to greet her into eternal life. Now with that said, I wonder how long it will take before they are up to their old antics. They will all be there together. I like knowing that. If there is anything you need help with, anything at all, I'm here and only a phone call away, please don't hesitate to call and just say the word. With Prayers and much love for each of you, Debbie Newell Bordwell and Jim, Andrew, and Ashleigh Bordwell.
