Barbara Reeder Obituary

Reeder, Barbara A. SCOTIA Barbara A. (nee: Baker) Reeder, 74, of Scotia, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. As an active member in the community, a few of her favorites include Garden Club, the Swimming Club, Sewing Club and the Nurse's Association. She will be remembered as a loving wife, a cherished mother and caring grandmother who was always smiling and enjoyed a rich social and family life. Barbara is survived by her husband, Douglas R. Jones who affectionately calls her "Barbie"; her father, Joseph Baker; her children, Kimberley (Jami) Hinman of Ballston Spa, Lisa (Curtis) Kingsley of Saratoga Springs, Dale Reeder of Saratoga Springs, Jeannine (Michael) Dubiac of Ballston Spa and Andy (Kelly) Jones of Richmond, Va.; her siblings, Joseph R. Great Times @ Lake George with the Reeder Family 1972 - 1985. I think I met the Reeders in Log Bay - 1972. I'm sorry for your loss and you are in my thoughts and prayers.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. I have special memories of Barbara as a neighbor and a friend. In particular our Monday night sewing group.

I met your mother at AMC. Despite, it seems, being a few months away from death, she was always upbeat, always smiling on her face, and always showing more interest in others than in herself. I admired how she always had a family member or friend with her. I think she probably had a lot of each. I don't know what she went through in the past few months, but I know she is content and at peace. We are diminished by her loss.
