Zirpoli, Beatrice
EAST GREENBUSH - Beatrice "Bea" Zirpoli, 82, of East Greenbush, N.Y., passed away peacefully at home, on August 12, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on March 2, 1943, in Albany, N.Y., Bea was the beloved daughter of the late Albert and Margaret Zirpoli. She was predeceased by her daughter, Donna; grandchildren, Matthew and Grace; and siblings, Albert, Mary, Louise, David, and Michael.
She is survived by her siblings, Gary (Fran), George, Linda Fellman, Robert (Mary), Nancy Martyn-DeLeon (Carlos), Anne Marie, and Elaine.
Bea's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her loving children, Terrance Gibson (Darlene), Sharon Bauer (Michael), Richard Gibson (Jennifer), Michelle Gibson, Maryann Wagoner (Krisden), Stacey Orlando, Tracey Bohley (Nathan), and Ralph Gibson (Sharon); 29 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.
One of Bea's greatest contributions in life was the love and care she poured into her grandchildren. She played a huge part in raising many of them, offering guidance, comfort, and unconditional love that shaped their lives in lasting ways.
Bea was a hard worker throughout her life, employed at the Watervliet Arsenal and later at You're Almost Home Tavern, where she was known for her friendly smile and warm heart. She gave her time generously to her community, serving as a Girl Scout troop leader, and enjoyed a full life filled with hobbies and friendships. Whether bowling in a league, playing bingo, throwing darts, or sharing laughs with loved ones, Bea embraced each day with warmth and humor.
She will be remembered for her caring spirit, her generosity, and the way she made everyone feel welcome.
Bea leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience that will live on in all who knew her. And in her own words, she'd remind us all with a smile: "Go find a friend."
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16, from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, at 1:45 p.m., at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, 607 Central Ave., Albany, N.Y. 12206.
A celebration of life will be at the home of Maryann and Kris Wagoner immediately following Mass.
The family would like to thank the Rensselaer County Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
