I will always remember the humor and laughs to lighten things up on Jody's behalf especially during some recent phone conversations we've had. Mr. Nagengast will be missed by many.

Bernie's picture is just how I remember him from the 60's when we lived a couple doors down and I used to babysit for the kids. I have fond memories of Mrs. Nagengast also, always very sweet. My mother is a steadfast customer of the flower shop. My deepest regards to the family. Memories always are with us in our hearts.

I'm so saddened to hear about Bernie's passing. What a wonderful person! His devotion to family, sense of humor, generousity, talent! I cherish the many memories I have of him...of getting pizza at the Orchard on payday, working with him at the shop, (just one raised eyebrow was all it took to know we needed to stop fooling around!) and socializing around East Berne over the years. At one party, Bernie took me and, I believe, two other women out for a ride in the Overland--and we ran out of gas. Bernie took a lot of teasing over that one--and he loved it! Such a beautiful soul....my prayers are with all of you.

Dear Anne,

Your Dad was always so nice to me and picked me and brought me back home so I could visit you in East Berne. Oh and your dad smokin' his cherry tobacco pipe...if I smell pipe tobacco to this day it takes me back to your house on Yates Street.
