Brian Doyle Obituary

Doyle, Brian
DEERFIELD, Fla. - On Wednesday, July 24, 2024, our brother, Brian Joseph Doyle, passed into eternity in Deerfield Beach, Fla. Our sorrow is full, wordless, forever. He was born in Albany, N.Y., on January 20, 1950, and was the beloved son of the late Thomas A. and Jane Keeshan Doyle.
Brian was predeceased by his children, Fiona Rose (2006) and Brian Joseph, Jr. (2007); his brothers, Francis Patrick (1974) and Thomas Nolan (2016). He is survived by his siblings, Paul Christopher (Gayle Conway), Margaret Elizabeth, CND, Cathleen Ann, Robert Kevin (Sarah Graves), Jerome Anthony (Annie Pare), Christine Marie Doyle (William Schwartz); and sister-in-law, Barbara English Doyle (Thomas). Also, he is fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Margaret, Beth, Anna, Teo, Christl, Paul, Jr., Jared, Christopher, Meghan, Kiernan, Erin, Jane, Dan, and Thom. Similarly, Brian will be sadly missed by his Duclos cousins, Dave, Maureen, Kate, and Pat.
Raisa Mineva, Brian's friend and devoted companion, who lovingly embraced his spirit, joins with us in mourning him. So, too, does Bob Monaghan of Voorheesville, long-time friend and staunch supporter. Ironworkers together, there wasn't a high beam they couldn't handle. And we express our gratitude to Al Kleinke, loyal friend, for regularly reaching out to Brian.
Brian loved to ski the slopes and swim the ocean. He had a great admiration for fine art, and his home embodied the pleasure art brought him. While he knew much personal suffering in life, he continued to love the beauty of the material world. Enjoying his long walks along the streets and byways of New York City, Brooklyn, Panama, Dublin, and especially Paris, he described himself, lightheartedly, as a flâneur. Brian had witticisms and silliness for family and friends and smiles for strangers. He was a steady supporter of The Smile Train, a nonprofit charity committed to creating smiles in children born without this capacity. Brian's kindness flowed innately from deep empathy.
A member of Local 12 of the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental, and Reinforcing Ironworkers, he lived most of his life in Albany, until employment took him to Brooklyn, and retirement to Fla.
Brian's family would like to thank the non-medical and medical staffs of Cleveland Clinic, Fla., Maroone Cancer Center for the excellent, compassionate care he received during his months of treatment there.
Finally, while we grieve the loss of our brother, we know that he rests softly in the arms of Mercy and is at peace.
We welcome you to Brian's memorial service at St. Agnes Cemetery on Wednesday morning, October 9, at 11:30 a.m.

Sorry I am just seeing this now. We grew up in the same neighborhood as Brian & the Doyle & Duclos families. I am a Cunningham & I grew up w/my 3 brothers & sister Beth on Lark St. close to Hamilton St. & his Mom Jane was my youngest brother's teacher at Cathedral. So sorry for ur loss! Very hard to lose a sibling especially in a large family. We played steal the bacon & head-ons on the corner of Lark & Hamilton. We had so many kids to play with back then. God bless Brian & all the the Doyles & Duclos, our old neighborhood friends. We moved to Pine Hills area 4/1963 & remember Kate Duclos lived on New Scotland Ave. near St. Thersa's Church. We went to VI like our parents did & lost contact with people from our old neighborhood. Sorry for the loss of Brian. He always had a smile as I remember.

Many of the best memories of our lives were shared with Brian and his family. Our grand children will hear stories about the strength, kindness, courage, compassion and loyalty of the Doyle family. Thanks for being our friend, Brian. Rest peacefully now in the Lord. We'll see you again some day.

Brian was a kind, sensitive, sweet man. Almost too nice for this hard world. He was always there for my family, and Larry was loved by Brian even when it was hard to do so. I can say l never heard a mean word from Brian about anyone, which says alot about him. May he be smiling with Fiona and Little Brian forever.

My deepest condolences to the entire family. Brian was always a true friend to my brother Larry. During Larry's final years in NYC, he was doing really bad. My husband and myself and Pat would always go down and check up on him but no one else -except Brian. He was a constant always coming to visit Larry. What a great, compassionate, caring man Brian was. My parents and Pat also thought very highly of Brian too. My heartfelt condolences to all the family.

My sincere condolences to All of Brian's family and Loved ones, I am So Sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of ironworking with Brian on many jobs when my father Tom was the Business Agent. My father Always spoke Highly of Brian and once I got to know him I could see why. He was always energetic and upbeat. Lots of good times and laughs and Always such a Nice guy. I loved running into Brian in Saratoga during the summers at Four Seasons restaurant. One of my Favorite ironworking friends for sure. If Brian was on the job you knew it was going to be a pleasure to be around him. Lots of laughs and lots of that Big smile of his. He was an Exceptional ironworker and he was a Sensational man. RIP on a life well lived and God bless you and your loved ones.
