C. Ina Malesky

Malesky, C. Ina SCHUYLERVILLE C. Ina Malesky, a resident of County Route 338 in Schuylerville, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017, at Saratoga Hospital with family by her side. Born in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Catherine Hogan Sherman. Ina was a graduate of Vincentian Institute in Albany. She was employed by the NYS Labor Department, the Schuylerville School Library, and retired from BOCES in Saratoga Springs where she worked as a teachers aid. She was a member of Notre Dame-Visitation Church in Schuylerville and had been a member of the St. Anne Rosary Society. She was also a communicant of St. Peter and Paul Ukranian Catholic Church in Cohoes. She was an avid bowler for many years, and enjoyed knitting items for family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Donald E. Sherman; and two sisters, Marion Sherman and Alice Hebert. Survivors include her husband, Thomas J. Malesky of Schuylerville; four daughters, Linda (Jerri) Stover of Saratoga Springs, Mary V.(Rhit) Wilcox of Waterford, Barbara (Keith) Nevins of Schuylerville, and Jane (Michael) Ruehrwein of Carrollton, Va.; nine grandchildren, Mark (Gina Bardi) Stover, Cheryl (Dylan) Cooper, Kyra Wands, Heather Wands, Jessica Nevins, Katie Nevins (Jake Neilson), Elizabeth (Joe) Bogovich, Mike (Franchesca) Ruehrwein, and Christopher Ruehrwein; two great-granddaughters, Kallie Verro and Stella Wands-Fowler; extended family including Jon (Jackie) Wilcox, Mason and Sidney; Samantha (Steve) Torngren, August; Sarah Wilcox; Alyssa Leahy and Jalen Mitchell Leahy. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at Notre Dame-Visitation Church, Pearl St., Schuylerville, with Rev. Martin Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in the Saratoga National Cemetery at 12 p.m. There are no calling hours. Memorials can be made in Ina's memory to Notre Dame-Visitation Church.
