BRUNSWICK - Carol A. Film Lawless, 89, died suddenly Sunday, March 31, 2024, at her residence.
Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Elmer Film, Sr. and Mae C. Hook Film and wife of the late James W. Lawless. She had resided in Brunswick all her life and was a graduate of Troy High School.
Carol was a clerk for the Troy Insurance Agency for 30 years and later for the maintenance department at RPI.
She loved square dancing and was a member of the Tamarac Twirlers, Grafton and Sycaway Seniors and enjoyed playing bingo. She was a communicant of St. Jude The Apostle Church in Wynantskill. Carol visited with her friends every Wednesday afternoon at the McDonald's in Wynantskill.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna (Charles) Golden, Brunswick; her grandchildren, Alaina C. Golden, Brunswick and Andrew C. Golden, Troy; two brothers, Anson (Rose) Film and Gary (Terry) Film, both of Brunswick and several nieces and nephews. She is survived by her companion, Gerald Nedobity. She was predeceased by a brother, Elmer Film, Jr. and a sister, Marlene Maddocks.
Relatives and friends may call at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 43 Brookside Avenue, Wynantskill on Friday, April 5, 2024, from 9-10 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m.
Interment will be in Eagle Mills Cemetery Eagle Mills.
