Carol Mohlmann Obituary
NISKAYUNA - Carol Marie Mohlmann, 92, of Niskayuna, N.Y., passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024, at her home, after a short illness, with her family by her side.
Born on October 12, 1931, in Watervliet, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Alva Morgan Moore. Carol was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Vincentian Institute in 1949.
Carol worked for N.Y. Telephone Co. for several years until starting her family. She later went to work for Jobbers Supply Co. and lastly Republic Automotive until her retirement. She was a homemaker and is remembered as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Carol was a communicant of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Schenectady.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Charles Mohlmann who she married on October 22, 1955, he passed away in 1999; two sons, Donald J. Mohlmann and Mark Mohlmann; and three brothers, Donald, John and Robert Moore.
Survivors include her three children, Charles (Dorothy) Mohlmann of Rotterdam, Dorothy (Robert) Callahan of Niskayuna, and Ann Marie (Mark) Methe of Colonie; seven grandchildren, Jason (Brooke) Mohlmann, Stephanie (Michael) Grafton, Shawn Callahan, Joshua (Olivia) Callahan and Christina Callahan, Amanda (Ethan) Smith and Steven Methe; and seven great-grandchildren, Takari, Kaelani and Amira Grafton; and Delia Ann, Dylan Clark, Maya Ann and Jace Andrew Mohlmann.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 8 until 9 a.m. at Griswold Funeral Home, 1867 State St., Schenectady, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be Celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2777 Albany St., Schenectady. Burial will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Schenectady ARC, 214 State St., Schenectady, N.Y. 12305.
