Carolyn Karp Obituary

Karp, Carolyn D.
GASTONIA, N.C. - Carolyn Dorothy Karp, 78, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2022, with her loving family by her side.
Carolyn was born on August 13, 1944, in Brooklyn, to the late Dorothy and John Karp. She spent most of her life living in the Ravena, Selkirk, and Glenmont areas in New York. Carolyn was a 1963 graduate of Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School and then worked for the N.Y.S. Department of Audit and Control as a keypunch operator for over 35 years. She was a very active member of the First Reformed Church of Bethlehem holding various positions and singing in the church choir and a community touring chorus group. After retiring from the state, she worked part-time as a receptionist at Albany Medical Center Hospital. After her health declined, she moved to North Carolina to live with her sister and brother-in-law.
Carolyn is survived by her sister, Susan (Karp) Danner and brother-in-law, Paul Danner; niece, Kristin Danner; nephew, John Danner; cousins, Jim and Linda Polverelli, and their children, Brian, Gail and Kathy.
Services for Carolyn will be held in the spring of 2023 for family and friends.
