Catherine Coyle Obituary

LOUDONVILLE Catherine E. Coyle, 84, of Loudonville, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2004 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Mrs. Coyle was born October 16, 1919 in Earlton, N.Y. to William and Hazel Roe Deere. She was the system manager for Whitney Shoes in Albany for over 20 years before retiring in 1972. Catherine was a great cook and enjoyed watching and playing with her great-grandchildren. Mrs. Coyle is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary T. and Robert Stiffen of Loudonville; a son, Richard E. Coyle; a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel J. and Patricia Coyle, all of Albany; three sisters, Flo Potter, Gwen Walters and Mary Deere, all of Colonie; two brothers, Harvey Deere of Niskayuna and Jesse Deere of Colonie; 10 grandchildren, Nancy, Bobby, Jim, Cherie, Lisa, Richard, Courtney, Christine, Daniel Jr. and Scott. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Catherine was predeceased by her husband, Richard E. Coyle: he died in 1968; two sisters, Gladys Collins and Rosemary Walsh; and two brothers, William and Thomas Deere. Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 10:00 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Catherine E. Coyle.
