Boehm, Charles Arthur Sr. TROY It is with profound sadness and a deep appreciation for his life, that the family of Charles Arthur Boehm Sr., announce his passing at home, on April 3, 2022, after a long battle with Dementia and Parkinson's. Chuck was born in Schenectady to Charles H. Boehm and Margarita Loesch Boehm. He was the beloved husband of 62 years of the late Carolyn Gebhardt Boehm; and father of the late Charles A. Boehm Jr. Chuck is survived by his children, Christopher A. Boehm (Martha), Cynthia A. Czarnecki (Stephen), and Curtis A. Boehm (Jennifer); grandchildren, Craig Czarnecki (Kasey Campbell), Stephen Czarnecki (Mae), Sandra (Matthew) Cook, Nathan Boehm (Sara), Jay Boehm and Madelyn Boehm; and great-grandchildren, Marley Sliker and Natalie and Dylan Cook. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, David F. Gebhardt's family, and cherished family friends. Chuck was a graduate of Troy High and Empire State College. He was employed at the Schenectady General Electric plant as a computer programmer. He retired due to a disability after more than 30 years of service. Chuck and Carolyn attended Bellevue then Woodlawn Reformed Church with their young family. Chuck enjoyed gymnastics in his youth at the Schenectady Turner Verin and playing golf in various leagues and with friends throughout his life. He was an avid father, sportsman, outdoorsman, mechanic, draftsman, and builder who was always ready to learn from, as well as lend a hand to others. Chuck and Carolyn built and enjoyed their camp in the Adirondacks and also winters in Sun City Center, Fla. Chuck's family wishes to thank his loyal caregivers as well as the staff at Rensselaer Community Hospice for their care and compassion. Relatives and friends are invited to his committal service on Friday, April 8, at 1 p.m. in the Elmwood Hill Cemetery, 51 Belle Avenue, Troy.
