The Perfect Heart
One day a young man was standing in the middle of the town proclaiming that he had the most beautiful heart in the whole valley. A large crowd gathered and they all admired his heart for it was perfect. There was not a mark or a flaw in it. Yes, they all agreed it truly was the most beautiful heart they had ever seen. The young man was very proud and boasted more loudly about his beautiful heart.
Suddenly, an old man appeared at the front of the crowd and said, “Why your heart is not nearly as beautiful as mine. “ The crowd and the young man looked at the old man’s heart. It was beating strongly, but full of scars, it had places where pieces had been removed and other pieces put in, but they didn’t fit quite right and there were several jagged edges. In fact, in some places there were gouges where whole pieces were missing. The people stared – how can he say his heart is more beautiful, they thought?
The young man looked at the old man’s heart and saw its state and laughed. “You must be joking,” he said, “Compare your heart with mine, mine is perfect and yours is a mess of scars and tears.” “Yes,” said the old man, “yours is perfect looking but I would never trade with you. Your see, every scar represents a person to whom I have given my love – I tear out a piece of my heart and give it to them, and often they give me a piece of their heart which fits into the empty place in my heart, but because the pieces aren’t exact, I have some rough edges, which I cherish, because they remind me of the love we share.
Sometimes I have given pieces of my heart away, and the other person hasn’t returned a piece of his heart to me. These are the empty gouges – giving love is taking a chance. Although these gouges are painful, they stay open, reminding me of the love I have for these people too, and I hope someday they may return and fill the space I have waiting. So now do you see what true beauty is?”
The young man stood silently with tears running down his cheeks. He walked up to the old man, reached into his perfect young and beautiful heart, and ripped a piece out. He offered it to the old man with trembling hands. The old man took his offering, placed it in his heart and then took a piece from his old scarred heart and placed it in the wound in the young man’s heart. It fit, but not perfectly, as there were some jagged edges. The young man looked a t his heart, not perfect anymore but more beautiful than ever, since love from the old man’s heart flowed into his. They embraced and walked away side by side.

I was very sad to hear of his passing. I went into the UPS store and asked where he was when I was told. He was always helpful esp when I came to in get laminates for my car for my business. He was a great guy and always took care of me. Even though I didn't know him I will miss him.

I was extremely saddened to hear of Bojo’s passing. I didn’t get to see him very much but with all the times we did talk and see each other, he was always happy and kind. He touched my heart and life like no other I have ever known. He was well loved by everyone that knew him and I know we all miss him very much. But to everyone saddened by losing him, cherish the memories that were had with him, his smile, his laugh, and his love and know that he would want all of us to be happy and to spread happiness as he did all the time.
Rest in Peace Bojo, I will see you again when the Lord calls my name.

I was the first mortal to know Chris (God knew him first). I felt him grow in my womb, I felt his first kick. His father and I loved him before ever seeing him. (we felt the same way for Kasha and BJ). He was a fun-loving child and grew into a loving and caring young man with a great sense of humor. We, his family, always knew how special he was. We didn't know so many others knew this as well. The pain of losing my son Chris is the worse I have ever felt, but I thank God to have had 22 years with him. As a dear friend once said to me, "our children are not ours to keep. God loans them to us to love and nurture until the time he calls them home." I didn't want to give him back so soon (or ever) as those who know me, know I keep everything. But I am at peace knowing Chris is back in God's arms, watching over us. Chris touched the lives of many, near and far, personally and even those who only knew of him through others. Chris' memory and spirit will live on within each of us- I ask each of you to do the following: make someone laugh, end every visit/conversation with a loved one letting them know you love them, thank God for every day, and always look on the bright side of life.
To my dear Chris:

Julie, Bruno, Kasha & BJ, My love is with you all (ya'll). We were pregnant together from the start, shared all joys, fears, problems & fun. All the years we spent together are some of the greatest in my life. I'll treasure them all the more as I am reminded how short life can be sometimes and be thankful all the more, for the time we do have with each other. It's hard to believe that Jesus decided to take you home, but as you know - he only accepts the best. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and close friends on this day and the days ahead. I can't even imagine how tough this is to deal with. Chris - I'll always remember you the way you were - sweet, funny & you could always put a smile on my face when no one else could. You were the best friend anyone could ever ask for. We miss you but we all know that you're right there with us as your family and friends go through this mournful time. Julie - I am but one of the new acquaintances you've made in Counsel's Office, and certainly far from the closest, but I've welcomed the cheerful willingness you bring to the workplace every day, and I know I'm not alone in appreciating it. That's precious little experience on which to base a certainty that you were a loving mother who brought unmeasurable happiness to her loving son, but to me it is a certainty without qualification that such was the case. It is against that certainty that I try to comprehend the sense of loss you must be feeling. I cannot. My oldest two children's ages bracket Chris's, and I cannot imagine their loss; I've lost both parents and a brother, all deeply saddening experiences, but those deaths had a sense of fitfulness to them that cannot be present when a parent loses a child who has only just begun to live. I was in Chris's "family" at Senior High Camp in 2004. We didn't keep in touch, but I have very dear memories of that week; it was one of the best of my life, and Chris absolutely helped in making it so. I was extremely sorry to hear about his death, and my thoughts and prayers are with all of his loved ones.

Although I hadn't seen Chris since graduation back in 2004, I will never forget his goofy and sometimes quiet self. The Bojanowski Family,
We had the pleasure of meeting Chris when my niece Melissa brought him over to my parents home for the Holidays last year. He was so impressed with all the food and needed to try it all! He even helped cleaning up afterwords. I think it was because he wanted to get at one of the 15 desserts we were putting out. He impressed my whole family and was welcome back any time even without my niece. What a pleasur to meet such a nice polite guy.

What can you really say when the world loses someone so incredibly amazing. Sorry no longer cuts it when you look into the eyes of someone who feels your pain. Any and all tears should be accompanied by laughter and jokes, because Chris wouldn't want it any other way. It's just sad to be the only one left on the inside of our jokes, but if I listen closely, I can hear him laughing too, and that's what makes it okay in the end. Endless love to anyone who loved him, never forget to laugh and be crazy, because I know he'll be there whenever we choose to get silly, laughing along or at us.

I haven't seen Chris in years but when I heared that he had been called by god my heart sunk. He was such as great person and he will be missed by anyone that knew him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family!!!
