Jones, Christopher R. RAVENA Christopher Robert Jones, 39 of Ravena, died suddenly on June 20, 2022. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Edward and Ruth Jones, and is survived by his son, Lucas Joseph Jones; Lucas's mother, Jennifer Jones (Bernard); loving parents, Barry and Cheryl (Carrk) Jones; sister, Jennifer (Antonio D'Arcangelis) Jones; grandparents, Anthony and Irene (Winters) Carrk; uncle James and aunt Sandra (Bluestein) Carrk; and cousins, Michael and Aaron Carrk (Katie Brantmeyer). Chris excelled in sports throughout high school and became a talented and avid golfer, spending time on the course with family members and an extensive group of colleagues and friends. His love of competition and natural ability were obvious to anyone who had seen him hit a monster drive or sink a seemingly impossible putt. Aside from his talents on the course, Chris spent years working as a top-notch salesman and skilled carpenter a trade he learned from his father. He loved spending time with his close-knit family, good times with friends, extravagant dinners at local restaurants, listening to his father's bands, boating on Lake George, and watching sports, especially his favorite team, the San Francisco 49ers. Most of all, he enjoyed playing games and sports with his young son who was the absolute love of his life. Calling hours will be held at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena, on Friday, June 24, from 4-7 p.m. All other services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a college fund set up at The National Bank of Coxsackie for Lucas Jones. Checks should be made out to The Lucas Jones College fund and dropped off at any National Bank of Coxsackie location or mailed to The National Bank of Coxsackie, P.O. Box 400, Coxsackie, NY 12051.
