AVERILL PARK - Clark J. Williams, 75, of Glass Lake Rd., died after a brief illness, Sunday, August 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at his home, in Averill Park.
Born in Gloversville, N.Y., he was the son of the late Clark John Williams and Ada Fay Bean Williams, of Scotia, N.Y.; and beloved husband of Peggy Fischer Williams, of Averill Park, N.Y. He grew up in Scotia, N.Y., and graduated Scotia Glenville H.S. in 1968. He earned a Bachelor's Degree from Siena College in 1976.
He was an employee of the New York State Insurance Department from 1977, until his retirement in 2012, eventually serving as the Director of Licensing. He also worked as a ski instructor at Jiminy Peak the Mountain Resort, for over 20 years. Following his retirement, he spent time with family and friends, his beloved grandchildren, traveled with his wife, and skied as much as humanly possible.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his children, Jessica (Shaun) Connor, Salem, Mass., and Christine Williams, Lake Carmel, N.Y.; grandchildren, (to whom he was "Papa Sparky"), Ty and Harley Seidman, and William and Fiona Connor; brother, Van and Lhakpa Williams, Colo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 12 to 2 p.m., at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, N.Y. Sharing of memories will start at 2 p.m. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, N.Y. 12144, in Clark's memory.
