ALBANY - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Clifford F. Wright Jr. on September 4, 2025, a loving father, devoted son, grandfather, brother, uncle, great-uncle, great-great-uncle, cousin and cherished friend, who left us too soon. Cliff was a beacon of kindness and compassion in the lives of all who knew him.
He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1981 to 1985, embodying the values of dedication and sacrifice. After his military service, he continued to serve his community as a valued member of the Bethlehem Central School District from 1988 to 2017, until his retirement.
After his retirement, Cliff spent his summers aiding the Albany community where he enjoyed helping those in need. He not only provided food and essential supplies but also offered friendship and support to those facing difficult times. His selflessness and dedication earned him the respect and admiration of all who knew him.
In the winter months, Cliff embraced his adventurous spirit, traveling to various destinations and exploring the beauty of the world around him. He enjoyed sharing stories of his travels with those close to him, encouraging them to do the same.
Cliff is survived by his daughter, Jessica; son, Justin; and grandson, Ryan. Cliff, also known as Skip, is also survived by his sisters, Sharon, Chris, Becky and Lisa, who will carry his memory in their hearts. He was predeceased by his mother, Clare; sister, Debby; and father, Clifford Sr.
Inurnment with military honors will be held at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville, N.Y., on Friday, October 24, 2025. at 12:30 p.m.
A celebration of his life will be held the following day, Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Henry Hudson Park Pavilion, 157 Lyons Rd., Selkirk, from 1 to 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers or donations, the family asks you to simply continue Cliff's legacy of kindness. Lend a helping hand or give to someone in need as he would so willingly do.
