Clyde "Curly" Conti

Conti, Clyde "Curly" WATERTOWN Clyde "Curly" Conti, 78, of Barben Avenue died Monday, June 24, 2013 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Mr. Conti was born August 22,1934 in Albany to Frank and Carrie (Palmer) Conti. He graduated from Rosseville High School in Colonie in 1952 and from Syracuse University, College of Forestry in 1956. Mr. Conti was employed by Aetna Casualty Insurance Co. for over 30 years as regional safety engineer representative until his retirement in 1992. He married Patricia Mullins March 21, 1980 in Barnes Corners, N.Y. Mr. Conti was a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers. He enjoyed fishing, antiquing at garage sales, mall walking and spending time with his family and friends at Crossroads and Moe's Diners. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; two sons, Francis D. Conti of Watertown and Michael A. Conti of Austin, Texas; a niece, Margo (William) Cooper of Onchiota, N.Y. and a nephew, John Kelsey of Syracuse. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Kelsey and his second wife, Beverly A. (Waters) Conti. There will be a graveside service Friday, June 28, 2:00 p.m. at Brookside Cemetery, Rev William Cooper officiating. A calling hour will be Friday from 12 noon - 1:00 p.m. at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Watertown. Donations may be made in his honor to either Volunteer Transportation Center, 203 N.
