Constance Welch Obituary

Welch, Constance Ann (Perone) GLENVILLE Constance "Connie" Welch of Glenville, passed through Heaven's Gates and into God's realm on Monday, May 9, 2022, after a courageous nine-month battle with cancer. Born on January 4, 1958, she was 64 at her passing. She retired from the University at Albany as the Chem Lab store manager after 35 years of state service. Connie was also a terrific cake decorator, specializing in wedding, artistic, and cakes duplicating real items. Connie was a person who always told it like it is. She was loved and friends with everyone and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Connie was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Margaret Perone; nephew, Jack Perone; and brother-in-law, Robert Welch. Connie is survived by her husband, George "Josh" Welch of Glenville; daughters, Rebekah Billington of Glenville, and Veronica Welch of Glenville; son, George (Danielle) Welch of Whitesboro; grandchildren, Autumn and Victoria Billington, Ethan, Evan and Alexis Rozell, and Jayden Welch; sister, Donna Perone of Schenectady; brothers, William (Maribeth) Perone of Scotia, and David (Kimberly) Perone of Glenville; nieces, Cheryl (Dom) Santorelli, and Kimberly Butler; nephews, Anthony (Stephanie) Perone of Castleton, William M (Tracie) Perone of Rotterdam Junction, and Robert Welch of Schoharie, and several grandnieces and grandnephews. There are no calling hours as per her request. The family will hold a memorial gathering/celebration of life at a later date.
