Wong, Constance
AVON, Conn. - Constance Bulger Wong, 70, beloved wife of Dr. Samuel S. Wong for 41 years, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025, in Avon, Conn.
Connie was born September 1, 1955, in Troy, N.Y., to Theresa (McGuirk) Bulger and Edward J. Bulger. Connie first made her powerful presence known as a freshman in the Catholic Central High School musical production of the Sound of Music as the lead, Maria. After leaving her mark as a young nursing student at Boston University, she joined Johns Hopkins Hospital working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where she lovingly cared for the most precious babies. Her entrepreneurial spirit first emerged when she pivoted to join People's Express Airlines as the Training Director. She then received her master's degree in human resources and organizational development from the New School.
In 1984, a fateful blind date led Connie and Sam to each other, and they never left each other's side for 41 years. They started their family roots in Newtown, Conn., and had a beautiful life there for over 30 years before moving closer to their grandchildren.
In 1989, in the midst of welcoming her cherished daughter, Samantha, Connie got the wild idea to form her own consulting company that was fiercely committed to Diversity and Inclusion training. A trailblazer in her field, as the Managing Director of CSW Associates Inc., Connie utilized interactive theater and live case studies to revolutionize DEI training for some of the world's largest companies and top business schools. This work allowed her to travel the world, create teams in over 25 countries, and touch endless lives on a global scale.
Her most treasured job began in 2018, and continues from above, as an adored Nene to her grandchildren, Brandon, Mia, and a beautiful baby boy on the way.
She leaves a legacy of energy, ambition, contagious humor, but most of all love. She never missed a birthday or holiday, made you feel like you were the only person in the room, and had the biggest, most generous heart. If you know the iconic Diva Con, you carry a piece of her within you and the impact she had on you and the world. In Connie's eyes, you can accomplish or overcome any hurdle with persistence, a bold pair of eyeglasses, and a fierce lipstick. In her honor, she would remind us all to be bold and always stand up for what is right. As she commonly said: our angels are all around, and it is not goodbye; it is see you in a global minute.
Unbeknownst to some, but as expected in true Connie fashion, she fought a neurological illness with unimageable fight, determination, and unprecedented positivity. She was surrounded by her devoted family, friends, and her angels on earth aides, Marcia and Jackie.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her daughter, Samantha Weishuhn and her husband, David; her grandchildren; her mother, Theresa Bulger; her sisters, Pat DiVesta and husband, Doug, Diane Bulger Mangione, Mary Bulger; and a long list of loving nieces, cousins, and friends who became family. She was predeceased by her father, Eddie; her mother-in-law, Kim Man Wong; and her darling sister, Theresa McIntyre.
A Celebration of Life will be planned in the coming weeks, and notification will be made to all those who loved her. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you send your most treasured Connie memory to share with her grandchildren in the future. The Vincent Funeral Home of Canton, Conn., is serving the family.
