WYNANTSKILL - Craig L. Daniels, 82, of Simmons Rd., passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the Albany Medical Center, after a brief illness. Born and raised in the Hoags Corners area of Nassau, Craig was the son of the late Charles R. Daniels and Freida Butcher Daniels. Craig was a graduate of Lebanon High School and had a 30-year career at RPI and later, had retired from SUNY Albany in 2008, where he was involved in medical research. Craig was a longtime member of the Church of the Covenant in Averill Park, was a member and director with the Sand Lake Kiwanis and was a former member and past director of the Sand Lake Center of the Arts.
Craig enjoyed rehabbing homes, raising farm animals, swimming and spending time with his family.
Craig was the brother of the late Richard A.; Kirk F. and Keith C. Daniels.
Survivors include his son, Mark Daniels of Morganton, N.C.; his daughter, Sandra (Kenneth) Strock of N. Greenbush; his grandchildren, Connor Strock, Zakry Daniels and Jessica (Dominick) Sanchez; his great-grandchildren, Emmet and Wesley Sanchez.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call 4- 6:30 p.m., on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel, 2691 NY 43, at Glass Lake, with a service to follow at 6:30 p.m.
Spring Interment in the Hoags Corners-Mackmin Cemetery.
