Daniel Earley Obituary

Earley, Daniel
COXSACKIE - Daniel W. Earley, 73, of Coxsackie, N.Y,, passed away peacefully with family by his side on October 15, 2025. Born on September 28, 1952 in Catskill, N.Y., Dan lived a life full of love, service, and devotion to his family, community, and country.
A proud graduate of RCS High School, Class of 1972, Dan went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps, embodying the values of duty and discipline that he carried throughout his life. After his service, he started his railroad career at Penn Central in 1976 and then dedicated 20 years of his career to Amtrak, where his strong work ethic and mechanical skill were well known and respected.
Dan was a life member of the New Baltimore Fire Department, where he served his community with pride. He was an incredibly talented mechanic, often found in his garage fixing, building, or just lending a hand to anyone who needed it. His love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for boating, fishing, spending time at their camp and water skiing, and he took great joy in spending time near the water. He most enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Dan was predeceased by his parents, Annabelle and John Earley; and his siblings, Patty Earley King, Joanne DeLuca Coons, and Kenneth DeLuca.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Marcia Earley; daughter, Stefanie Sitcer (Scott); son, Daniel Earley (Maria Greene, and son, Riley Blum); and cherished grandchildren, Riley and Sawyer. He also leaves behind his beloved brother, John A. Earley Jr. (Victoria); as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends, who will deeply miss his generous spirit, warm laugh, and strength.
Memorial service will be held at the FASNY Fireman's Home on October, 24, at 10 a.m., 125 Harry Howard Ave., Hudson, N.Y. 12534. A celebration of life will be held at the New Baltimore Firehouse, 77 Gill Rd., New Baltimore, on Saturday, November 1, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., to honor and remember the remarkable man he was.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Dan's memory to the incredible caregivers at the Firemen's Home in Hudson, or the New Baltimore Fire Department, two places close to his and our heart.

Earlier today

Marcia, I'm so sorry to hear Dan has passed. Having both of you as our neighbors always brings fond memories, it was sad to see you move but wonderful that we kept in touch. Dan and Harold were the perfect neighbors keeping each other company while we both went to work. We really missed you when you left. Both of you came to my recue when Harold died, this was so appreciated by me. Moving the lawn was quite the challenge, Dan stepped up to the challenge. You were the best neighbors; I am so sorry for your family's loss. All the best Sherry
