I remember Dan and his parents very well. They were neighbors of my "first" husband Eugene Jordan. Dan was a very special person and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to get to know him and his parents. I'm sure we'll see each other down the road in Heaven.

I was saddened this morning to learn of Dr. Flander's passing. I knew him only from a patient-Doctor point of view, but found him to be such a kind and lovely man. My condolences to all his family, I can only imagine how much you miss him.

I remember Dan playing saxophone in the GCHS band, with me on trombone. I laugh when I consider how unlike Band Camp in American Pie was, compared to playing in our band. As I remember, Dan was a good musician, and I wonder if he continued playing after high school.
I used to kid Dan about being one of the first in our class to sport longer hair. He had a John F Kennedy do, and I had a close cropped flat top that was not even cut for a week after I joined the Army. It looks like that JFK do served Dan well over the years, although (from his picture), perhaps, a little thinner in recent years. ;)
I missed not seeing Dan at several earlier reunions that I attended. And then I was unable to attend the 50th (due to local wildfires) when he did attend.
My sympathies to all of his family who I never got to know. It sounds like you have wonderful memories to forever cherish.

Dear Michelle, Danny and Susan and family, Fran and I had the wonderful opportunity to have Dan fly us to the Island from our home town. I was a little nervous at first but i quickly realized there was no need to be nervous. He was an amazing pilot with such great instincts. On that trip I learned something about myself. He taught me that I had little confidence in myself and that i just had to challenge myself to gain it. He did this all without saying a word. I will forever remember him and that trip. He believed in me that day and it made an impact on my life. What a wonderful gift I received. We all will miss Dan and his gentle ways.

We were referred to Dr Flanders approximately 7 years ago by Dr. Christophey Reilly and will be eternally grateful to Dr. Reilly. Dr Flanders performed several miracles for us. If we could only praise him for his professional excellence, that would be enough for most people, however it is was just a small part of this fine man. His amazing accomplishments seemed impossible to achieve in one lifetime and yet his sincere humility in spite of those accomplishments was overwhelming. We were honored and humbled to know him. Our deepest sympathies to his family.

I was not a close friend of Dan growing up, but we often had nice conversations in class at GCHS. He evidenced a gentle and refined manner, even in 9th grade. Once, in 9th grade,I asked him what he was interested in. His reply: "I'm going to be a dentist." I was forever amazed at his early self-awareness and ambition. A great loss to his family and community. Much love to you, Dan.

My sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Daniel. Although I only knew him for a few years, while married to his cousin, Eugene J. (Gino) Jordan, it surely sounds as though he had a full and successful life with no regrets. I loved both his parents so much. They were always super nice to me and I am sorry to hear of their loss as well. Love to you all.

Mickey, Sue and Danny,
I was so saddened to hear of Dan's passing. It's so cliche to say that he's in a better place, but it's true because now he's free of the pain. Just know that we are thinking of you and are always here for you.
Sending my love to you all, Aunt Sibyl
