Daniel Paula Obituary
WATERVLIET - Daniel J. De Paula , 72, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at his home, with his loving family by his side. Dan was the son of the late Daniel and Jeanette DePaula. Dan was the devoted husband of over 46 years to Judith A. De Paula.
Dan was an avid fly fisherman. He loved camping and boating in the Adirondacks, cooking and spending time with his family and friends.
Dan is survived by his wife, Judy; and his sons, Brett and Mark (Debbie) Battista. He was the cherished grandfather of Breanna, Jacob and Michael Battista. He is also survived by his sisters and brother, Carol (Larry) Robert, Thomas (Eileen) De Paula and Janet Budd; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, N.Y., on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
The family would like to thank the Colonie EMT and Police Department for the care they gave to Dan and his family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association, Albany, 4 Atrium Drive, Albany, N.Y. 12205, in Dan's memory.

I played Online chess With Dan For Many Many Years We became good friends and met once for a Game of chess in Person in upstate New York im from california. RIP DAN I miss the our chess games and Conversations during the Games over the Years
