I am Trying to give Carm a fun summer Mom. I taught him how to ride his bike with no training wheels! The sun was shining so bright. We knew you were looking down. We know you are soo proud! (:

Carmen reminded me that last summer you told him that he is old enough to go to a waterpark when he learns how to ride his bike like a big boy... WaterSlide World here we come!!

We will achieve great things Mom. Watch over us and keep us safe. Me and Carm talk to you every night in our prayers. We love you and miss you so much! Not a day goes by when you are not thought of.

P.s : We see aunt Deb all the time. Me and Carmen are trying to keep the smile on her face. She is taking care of us just like she did when it was us four. She lets Carmen play the wii and even crack more silly jokes!! xoxoxox

Darlene, we miss you terribly! Not a day goes by that our family gatherings and conversations aren’t filled with thinking of you, telling your funny stories, and crying over you leaving so soon. If I could ask God a favor now, it would be that He might have a coffee shop in Heaven where you get to be the customer this time! I would also hope for you to be given a copy of the newspaper, perhaps etitled the “Earthly Enquirer”, and that you see that you’ve made First Page! If so, the article would be filled to the brim with all the love and gratefulness we feel for you and always will! I don’t think you ever really knew just how much of an impact you had on us, Darlene Deluxe! My own life is richer because of how you loved me and our family unconditionally! Today, I send my tears and prayers in return, and I promise to love little Carmen just the way you would want me to – deeply and sincerely! I hope that you enjoy being “First Page” and us making a huge fuss over you! You moved people in so many big and small ways, and you just can’t imagine the hole you’ve left behind! I know you would love every minute of it! It’s truly been a pleasure knowing you sweet girl! You are forever loved, Darlene Deluxe! Thank you for being a Morizio!

I am truly saddened by the news that Darlene Morizio had passed away at such a young age, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, tenderness and love. Darlene was truly a beautiful woman inside and out. Her smile lives on in her children and her heart lives on in her husband. It bothers me to except the fact that the world lost such a beautiful person at such a young age. I’ve known Darlene for years and she was a walking array of sunshine bringing a smile to anyone’s face. My heart goes out to her family and friends, may her memory never be forgotten.

Dar,
It's me, I've been reading all that has been written on this legacy guest book for you and I love you and will always miss you.
I'd give anything for another good morning text from you or a chance to give to you another avon order or to share another Stewart's Park Day in August or a park day in Cohoes. Thank you for all the ways in which you touched our lives (Carhart and I) Love that you named Keith "Carhart" because he was a driver for Stewart's and was given a Carhart coat and YOU felt that the Stewart's employees especially in Cohoes should have been given one too! :-) Keith will miss hearing you yelling "Carhart" when you'd see him. Thoughts of you and prayers for your family always. Love to the sweetest of the sweet

To the Family of Darlene Morizio,

My sympathy goes out to all of you. Darlene was taken from us way too soon. She was just like a part of our family when we lived on Younglove Ave. She would always be at our house with my daughter, Sandy. They were best friends. I remember allof the sleepovers they had. She always had a sense of humor and always had a kind word for everyone. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Till we meet again dear friend.

I had known Darlene for years! We grew up in Cohoes and everyone knew who she was. I had worked at Abram Lansings with Darlene and I don't think a day went by when she didn't show a picture of Carmen or Casey! She was SO proud of her family. She would give us all the count down to how many more years until Carmen got there (and then warned us that we better be nice to him hahah). When Carmen got to Abram Lansing he was given a "big friend" which just so happened to be my son Josh! This brought us both great joy for the boys to become friends :) I always looked forward to seeing Darlene's smiling face. She was a friend to all and had a kind word to say to everyone-big,small and everything in between. After word got out of her passing the city was all talking about what a tragic loss to our community. It is a matter of fact, my husband was at a party with a bunch of guys from Troy on Saturday night and the guys were talking about Darlene! It just so happened that one of the guys was a bread man and delivered to Stewart's and knew Darlene VERY well. He shared stories about Darlene and had them all rolling. As I saw Casey tonight at the service I took one look at her and I saw Darlene's smile. I had never met Mike before but I feel like I had because Darlene talked about him so much. You are truely an amazing man with a truely amazing wife. I hope Carmen will always know how much Darlene adored him and his curls. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Darlene- you are loved and will be missed deeply.

We were neighbors many years.
Darlene is a light lady. Everybody who met her doesn't remember her face without smile. She didn't complain. Never. Her day was very long from early moning to late evening. And found time that to help her friends and neighbors.
She was very literate. And her very beautiful handwriting. And her humor. And her skill of craft.
Impossible to forget our great Darlene.
I can't believe that i will not hear your steps on the stairs...

DEB and family,
Darlene was a good teen who grew into an ever greater adult. I remember her at DD serving coffees before she went to other things. I remember her excitement of having a little girl and not only the excitement but surprise when she was pregant with Carmen. I have been reading what everyone said and who can say more. Darlene was someone who never had a bad word to say about anyone no matter what and that is such a great and saintly way to go through life. As you and I know it is not always easy to say only good things....
I'm sure she is now watching over her given family and those she touched daily (including my mom) her Stewart's family from heaven with all the angels....We were all blessed to have known her and can only hope to become acquainted with other's like Darlene in our life time.
Love to you all

Mike, Carmen and Casie-
I am so thankful to have met Darlene and gotten the opportunity to know her. She inspired me to be a better person, by sharing her love of life and her love and commitment to her family, which she shared with everyone around her. She was the ONLY person to talk to me for my first week at the West Cohoes shop and we continued to stay in touch after I left. That was the kind of person Darlene was. Once you were in her life, she didn't let go. Her laugh was infectious and she always had a smile ready, especially on those days that I really needed one!
The following poem captures a lot of who she was and continues to be for me . . .

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush,
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die.

Darlene left a piece of her with everyone that she met and whose lives she touched. She lives on in all of us.

My dearest aunt darlene, there was never a time you were not there for me, to share a laugh, a cup of coffee, to help me when i was sick, or to remind me of how much ive changed and made a better life for myself. Its those things that i will always remember that you have done for me, the pride you would show in me, and the strength that you gave me. I miss our times when i was a kid an you were the babysitter, granted times got rough, but you never let that stop us. You made sure i knew you werent going anywhere and that you would always be there for me. I know that you will always still be there for me, my family and our future families, always watching down on us. you are a true angel aunt darlene, and there will be no one like you, no replicate, no similar person, or no one thats even close to you!! I miss you and i love you! keep heaven in line up there, and keep making them mushrooms, one day ill be up there to see you, an we will share our happiness together once again. rest in peace aunt dar. i will love you forever!

To my dear sister , you will be forever missed in my heart . I will always remember the childhood memories we shared ...... the paper routes , our walks to school everyday . skipping sunday school and buying pennycandy at joyce and johns deli and hideing in west end park . bowling on sunday mornings .... how i hated it but you loved it so i went because you didnt want to walk by yourself. and then we got older and you used to buy me my smokes at newels drug store and then blackmail me into doing your dishes for you or you would tell mom i smoked . And the list goes on and on .... my favorite memory of you is when i walk into stewerts to see you and you would yell out HEY EVERYBODY I WANT YOU TO MEET MY BROTHER FRANK !! HE'S DRIVING MY DREAM CAR A CHRYSLER 300 THE LUCKY STIFF !! and i would say dar shut up !! and you would always laugh and say your such a stooge !!! i will miss you dearly darlene and i love you !

To the family:

I'm so sorry for your loss. I knew Darlene through passing at Bingo and then found out she was Dee's Aunt. She was such a nice lady and my heart breaks for all of you. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time.
