David Hendee Obituary

Hendee, David J. WATERVLIET David J. Hendee, 49, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, with his loving family by his side. David was the son of Richard (Karene) Hendee and the late Donna (Ralph Shaw) O'Shea. David was predeceased by his brother, Richard T. Hendee. David was a chef at Siena College until his retirement. He enjoyed creating special recipes for the students after using his sisters as guinea pigs. David enjoyed spending time with his entire family and loved to make them laugh. He was an avid gamer with friends all over the country. David was a cat man at heart. He was a huge movie and history buff. In his younger years, David enjoyed spending his time hunting and fishing. Most of all David cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. In addition to his father, David is survived by his sisters, Nancy B. Guzior, Penni Shaw, and Karyn (Joshua) Wagner; his nieces, Cassie Guzior, Abigail Shaw, and Chloe Shaw; his nephews, Richard Hendee, Joshua Hendee, and Robbie Guzior; his great-nephew, Ayden Hendee; his best friend of 25 years, David Wilkerson; his beloved cat, Neil, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in David's name to Kitten Angels at http://kittenangels.org.
