Diane Lindemann Obituary

Lindemann, Diane
LATHAM - Diane Lindemann, 74, of Latham, N.Y., died on May 16, 2025, surrounded by family and loved ones.
Born in Albany, N.Y., Diane grew up in Guilderland before settling in Latham.
Diane was a graduate of Guilderland High School. Upon graduation, she embarked on a rewarding 37-year career with the Testing Division of the New York State Department of Civil Service, where her intelligence, reliability, and good nature made her a valued employee.
Diane enjoyed reading cookbooks and was an accomplished baker who would always bring a special dessert to family gatherings. She also enjoyed gardening, and her hard work produced beautiful results at the summer camp that she loved. She relaxed by shopping for current styles and thoughtful gifts for others. She delighted in finding a bargain in the process.
Throughout her life, Diane willingly took on responsibility as a caregiver for family and friends. In turn, Diane received wonderful care during her three-month battle with cancer from Community Hospice, later joined by the caring staff at Eddy Village Green Nursing Home.
She is survived by her brother, Gary Lindemann of Clifton Park, N.Y.; and her longtime loving partner, Howard Ryan, of Schenectady, N.Y. She is also survived by sister-in-law, Pam Lindemann, of Waterford, N.Y.; and nephews, Kevin Lindemann and Stephen Lindemann (Anita), along with other relatives and friends.
She is predeceased by her parents, Robert and Ruth (Kelyer) Lindemann, of Cohoes, N.Y.; and two brothers, Ronald Lindemann and Jeffrey Lindemann.
At Diane's request, there will be no calling hours. Private burial services will be held at Memory Gardens, Colonie, N.Y., at a date to be determined.
Finally, Diane dearly loved "Donnie," a Jack Russell mix rescue dog who enriched her life. In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, N.Y. 12204.

I was sad to read of Diane's passing. We were friends and neighbors in the '60's, (also "twins" since my birthdate is 12/7/50). We lived around the corner on Highland Drive. Diane was always sweet, and we shared lots of laughs and good times. Please accept my condolences. Wendy (Lieberman) Pyle

I am so sorry for your loss Howard. Diane was such a good person to work with and her patience and good humor helped to see me through many a tense time at Civil Service. Prayers to you and Diane´s family during this time of grieving.

I had the privilege of knowing Diane for almost 15 years as one of my long-term and most loyal clients. She was a class act and probably one of the best tenants I have ever had. She will be sorely missed and was a throwback to a era when kindness mattered. Rest in peace, Diane I will miss your notes in the cards you sent me.
