Dolores M. Knapp

Knapp, Dolores M. DELMAR Dolores M. Knapp, 77, died Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson after a brief illness. Dolores was born on December 10, 1935 in Croton Falls, N.Y., daughter of the late Kenneth Knapp and Suzanne (Kropp) Knapp. Originally from Westerlo, she lived the majority of her life in Delmar and attended Berne-Knox-Westerlo School. She worked for Utica Mutual Insurance Co. from age 18 until her retirement. Dolores was an avid bowler and participated in various bowling tournaments, traveling all around the country. She participated in the WRGB televised tournaments. She additionally enjoyed participating in bingo and spending time with her Aunt Marge and Uncle John and family for holidays and summer gatherings. Dolores is survived by her aunt, Marge Kropp of Voorheesville; cousins, Dennis Kropp of Ravena, Ken Kropp of New Hampshire and Sandy Hennessy of North Carolina; as well as numerous other cousins and her close lifelong friend, Katherine Wagner of Delmar. In addition to her parents, Dolores was predeceased by her uncle, John Kropp of Voorheesville; Aunt Betty (Kropp) Blodgett of Westerlo and Aunt Margaret (Kropp) Way of Westerlo. A memorial service will be held at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville, at 1 p.m. on Friday (today) October 26. Burial of ashes will follow in Westerlo Rural Cemetery.
