Douglas Zeno Obituary
STILLWATER - Douglas Paul Zeno, 75, went to be with the Lord on January 2, 2025, in the comfort of his home. He was surrounded by love in his final moments. Born in Amsterdam, on January 28, 1949, son of the late Dominick and Betty Zeno, he graduated from Amsterdam High School.
Doug is survived by his devoted wife of 12 years, Judy Brunell Wood-Zeno; daughters, Cristyn (David) Hartson of Delmar, and Jennifer (Michael) Cassidy of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.; grandchildren, Alexis, Sophia, Jackson, Arnaud, Noah, and Grace; stepchildren, Michele (James) Barron, April (Kevin) Brustle, Nicholas Wood, and Jeremy (Sarah) Wood; and step-grandchildren, Ashley, William, Emma, Ella, Ethan, Micah, Joshua, Christian, Hannah, Ryan and Evan. Also his brother, David (Heidi) Zeno; and several nieces and nephews.
A proud graduate of the University of Buffalo, Doug spent much of his professional life working with the New York State Department of Design and Construction, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and service.
However, it was Doug's personal passions and faith that truly defined him. For many years, he loved collecting and restoring antique cars, traveling with his wife to car shows, and building lasting friendships along the way.
Doug's deepest passion, however, was his love for Jesus Christ. He committed his life to serving the Lord and sharing Christ's love. Through his unwavering faith, he impacted countless lives, and many generations will come to know Christ because of Doug's steadfast commitment to sharing the gospel with all.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Hospice team, Rosalie, Jessica, Alexis, Karen, and Pastor Mike, whose compassionate care made a world of difference during Doug's final days. We would also like to thank Marilyn who was an answer to prayer. Doug's legacy of faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 5-7 p.m., at Highway Tabernacle, 235 Hudson Ave., Mechanicville, N.Y. 12118. A funeral service at the church will be held on Saturday, at 10 a.m., with Burial immediately following at St. Michael's Cemetery, in Amsterdam, N.Y.
