Professor Rogers was a cornerstone of computer science at RPI. I remember being a TA for his Numerical Computing course some decades ago, questioning my ability to be a suitable TA --- Professor Rogers helped me find the confidence to be an effective TA and even give a lecture or two during that semester. In my office now, I have a series of punch cards with his name on it --- someday soon I'll have to decipher these programs! Fond memories. Sending my condolences.
