Burns, Elizabeth M. ALBANY Elizabeth M. Burns, 83, of Albany died on Monday, June 30, 2014, at the Teresian House. Elizabeth was born in Albany, the daughter of Frank and Nellie (Losstreatto) Speranza. Betty was a waitress at John and Pat's Restaurant and then later worked as an assembly worker for Troy Work Shop. Predeceased by her husband, Robert K. Burns; brothers, John and James Speranza, and brothers-in-law, Lee Malossi and Melvin Morgan. Elizabeth is survived by her son, Karl Robert Burns; and siblings, Frances Speranza, Josephine Mallossi, Cathy Morgan, Mary Ann (Frederick) Beaulieu and Santo (Carol) Speranza. Betty is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Thursday, July 3, 2014, at 11 a.m., from the Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpke., Rensselaer. Friends may attend her calling hours on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in New Rural Cemetery, Rensselaer. The family would like to thank all the staff on the fourth floor of the Teresian House for their dedication and care.
