Ernest Daoust Obituary

Daoust, Ernest P. Sr. EAST GREENBUSH Ernest P. Daoust Sr., age 76, of East Greenbush passed away at Evergreen Commons unexpectedly Tuesday, March 19, 2013 surrounded by his loved ones. Ernie was born in Albany and resided in East Greenbush since 1971. He was also a part time resident of Bayonet Point, Fla. from 2001 to 2010. He was a lifetime member of the Rensselaer Fire Department and a social member of the East Greenbush Fire Company. Ernie was also a member of the Rensselaer Lodge of Elks BPOE 2073 and the East Greenbush Council K of C. He attended St. John's Academy in Rensselaer and was a graduate of Albany Business College. Mr. Daoust was employed by Normanskill, was owner and operator of Ernie's Lunch and was a sales representative for Adams Chevrolet in East Greenbush retiring in 1998. He was a US Army veteran serving from 1954 to 1956. Ernie is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Kelly Daoust; loving children, Deb (Frank) DiMartino, Carolyn (Kent) Gracey and Ernest (Alesha) Daoust; grandchildren, Chantua DiMartino, Justin DiMartino, Deneiges Murro, Emilio Murro, Julie Alexander, Tyler Daoust, Karleigh Daoust and the late Jordyn Daoust; great-grandchildren, Carter Wasula and Lucas Murro; siblings, Yvette (Don) Cusick, Marie Ladouceur, Yvonne Scully, Irene (Bill) Daoust-Coyne, Franklinette Motler, Ronald (Jayne) Daoust and the late Rita Bigelow, Alfred G., Edward E., Gerard W. Sr., John, Theresa, Raymond, Herbert, Roger, Wilfred H. Daoust, Annette M. Braman and Bernard S. Daoust Sr. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, great-grand nieces and great-grand nephews. Funeral from the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., Rensselaer Saturday morning at 9:30 and 10:30 at the Church of the Holy Spirit, East Greenbush where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Friday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be held at a later date in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. Sorry to hear that you have lost your Dad. In the days and weeks ahead I hope you can find comfort in these words:
