Dear Mrs. Galusha,
I am one of the thousands of viewers who knew Gene through his wonderful narrations. I recognized his voice in so many shows and commercials. I loved The New Detectives and watched every time it aired. No one made listening so enjoyable. He was flawless in his narrations. I once e-mailed him to tell him how much i enjoyed his shows and asked if he would share a picture of himself,so I could put a face to the voice. He was very kind but explained to me that because his work was "voice related", he told me to feel free to use my imagination as to what he looked like. Please accept my most sincere condolences on his passing. I can't tell you how shocked I was when I found out which was just today. I will keep him in my prayers. May God give you comfort and peace.
Sincerely,
Angie Monks

Too many times, I think, voice actors are taken for granted. You listen to them as you watch your program, not fully realizing the impact they make on what you happen to be watching.

After watching yet another episode of "The New Detectives," I needed to know who owned the commanding voice that guided me through many mysteries, murders and police investigations.

What a heartbreaking discovery to find that Gene Galusha, the voice who talked me through so many hours of television (my favorite narration of his was "The New Detectives" on the Discovery Channel), had passed away.

I feel like I've lost an old friend.

My deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends.

Gene played Macbeth in the first play we did in NYC at the Shade Company, in 1971. I was his Lady Macbeth. The sound of his beautiful voice and the purity, strength, and truth of his performance are unforgettable. He taught me a lot. And he was a sweetheart too. Please accept my sympathy.

My heartfelt sympathy to you in the passing of Gene. I was shocked to learn of his passing. I loved his narration work. A wonderful voice, a natural at narration and a role model for us voiceover/voiceactors and narrators.
