You can tell a lot about a tree by the fruit it produces. Having known Marty and Sandy for several years, and knowing what good "fruit" they have produced, clearly the "Eugene tree" was a good "tree".

Gene and Jo were instrumental in my parents walk with the Lord. They loved my family through some difficult times. Gene prayed with me to ask the Lord into my heart and for Holy Spirit Baptism. My mom adored him and my dad looked to him for guidance. I remember asking him once Jesus was in my Heart how do I know he is always there. "Lori, he made a covenant- a promise that he will never leave no matter what you do! He is in there! Just like Ragu spaghetti sauce....it´s in there" As a 13 year old unsure of so much I went on having the security that one thing was always for sure...Jesus was in there!

Gene was very religious and thoughtful man. He has been going through tough times for years and both his daughters Sue and Sandy were there for him. They will miss him along with a feeling of great loss. Now he is out of pain and in heaven with Josephine after many years of being apart. He will be looking down on the family and guiding you every step of the way until you are all together again. May he rest in peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time.

Dear Marty & Sandy. I was saddened to see the loss of your father and appreciate him for the fine character he has influenced in the two of you. Though I don't know your mutual sister, I am confident that she shares your same fine qualities. I will be unable to attend the visitation and funeral owing to a prior obligation but I will make a donation in Gene's memory shortly. May you find comfort in the assurances of Paradise per the very words of Jesus, whose faith I know you all share. Brian & Judi

Gene was a sweet and gentle soul. My husband and I enjoyed square dancing and talking to him. He gave nice yellow rocks. Surely he now in the arms of our Lord now. To the family we are so sorry for your loss.---Bill and Carol Gordon (Single Squares dancing club)
