Frances M. Becker

ALBANY Frances M. Becker, 92, entered into eternal rest at the Guilderland Center Nursing Home, Wednesday, April 23, 2003. Miss Becker was born in Albany, the daughter of the late Frank and Katherine Cook Becker. She was a graduate of the Albany Academy for Girls and was a 1932 graduate of Wellesley College, to which she maintained a close relationship throughout her life. She was employed by the State of New York for many years, retiring as an associate personnel examiner for the Department of Civil Service. Miss Becker was a communicant of the First Presbyterian Church, Albany and was a member of the Wellesley Club. She volunteered her services for the Albany Institute of History and Art and the Guilderland Center Nursing Home. Miss Becker is survived by her cousins, Sally Ketcham of Altamont and Daniel Cook of Jacksonville, Fla. She is also survived by her very dear friends, Helen Meacham Stephens of Albany and Marjorie M. Brague of Voorheesville. A graveside service will be held Monday, 11 a.m. at Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands. There will be no calling hours.
