Kearney, Francis E. Sr. BALLSTON LAKE Francis "Frank" E. Kearney Sr., of Heather Lane, Ballston Lake, N.Y. and Casa Grande, Ariz., died on Thursday, October 4, 2007 at his home, surrounded by family and friends. He was 69 years old. Born in Albany, N.Y., he was the son of the late Frank J. and Isabelle Kearney. After graduating in 1956 from Christian Brothers Academy, Frank worked a short while for New York Telephone. Frank married his wife, Catherine, on June 8, 1957, at St. Joseph's Church in Albany. He was a member of the Teamster's Union, Local 294, for 42 years. Frank was an avid college basketball fan, especially cheering on the Siena Saints and the U of A (Tucson) Wild Cats. Frank, along with his wife Cathe, enjoyed entertaining family and friends at their home in Ariz. He loved the sights and history of Ariz. and took pleasure in sharing this with all who visited. Frank had a gift for telling stories and a wonderful sense of humor. He received immense pleasure in caring for his family and enjoyed remodeling and decorating his homes. He was a great influence to his children, helping to create a strong work ethic, sense of humor and consideration of others. His love for humanity and animals will be passed on to his children. Dad, I finally made it out to Lee's Ferry. It was beautiful, just like you said it was. I am sorry I didn't get to see it with you, though you were with me in heart and mind, like you are everyday. Mom, Kim, Colleen and Madonna were there too. I miss you, as does everyone. Love John

His smile would light up the room and that is what I want to remember. That and his laugh - just two weeks ago, laughing at Britton playing with the penguin. That is what I want to keep - and of course his love for his family. You were all treasured by him and his love is mirrored by your love and devotion in return. It has been a long, challenging road - may you all find peace and comfort in his peace. Love, Kim

I was privileged to spend a week with the Kearney's in Casa Grande as Colleen's guest a few years ago. It was there that I experienced Frank's great sense of humor and gift of story telling. I also got to appreciate how close the family is and how much they all love one another. It was a week I'll always remember.
Please accept my heartfelt sympathy and deepest wishes for peace, love, and healing for Cathe, Colleen, Kim, Frank Jr., and John.
