I had the honor and privilige of serving with Frank at Ft. Sill Ok. in 1960 and then we were transfered to Aschenburg Germany where we served together as (C Btry Flash Rangers) during the height of the Cold War with the Warsaw Pact nations. I had the priviledge of getting together with Frank and some of my other Army buddies in Gettesburg Pa. after 40 plus years. We had a great time. I will always remember Frank and what a good guy he was. May his soul rest in peace.

Frank was a fine soldier among the "band of brothers", the
C-Battery Flash Ranger Platoon of the First Target Acquisition Battalion, 25th Field Artillery in Germany 1960-1962. I had the honor of serving with him - an outstanding soldier. My sympathy goes out to his family. The Flash Ranger Band of Brothers misses Frank deeply.

I served in the US Army with Frank, who became a comrade and a very dear friend. We were together at Ft. Sill, OK. and in Aschaffenburg, Germany 1960-1962. Many good memories of a man I respected and will always carry fond memories.

The Brunswick Bulldogs Youth Football program has lost a dear friend and coach.

A few years ago Frank moved to Brunswick with his love of coaching still a huge part of his life.

He continued sharing his expertise by becoming an assistant coach with the Bulldogs’ Junior Division team. He was a dedicated football coach who was always willing to share his valued techniques of coaching football.

We will sadly miss Coach Giering!

Our sympathy and condolences to his family.
