George Reehl Obituary

Reehl, George H. PHILADELPHIA George H. Reehl, 89, of Philadelphia, passed away on September 14, 2012 at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. George was born in Mt. Vernon in 1923 to the late George Henry and Edna Josephine (Finger) Reehl. Mr. Reehl attended Mt. Vernon schools until the ninth grade and then graduated from Chatham High School in Chatham. George went on to earn an electrical engineering degree from Clarkson College of Technology in Potsdam and a master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He worked for G.E. from college graduation until his retirement in such places as Pittsfield, Mass., Schenectady, Lynn, Mass., and Valley Forge Pa., retiring from there. Some of Mr. Reehl's favorite pastimes were fishing, baseball, football and concerts. He was well loved by his family members and will be greatly missed. George is survived by his sister, Jean Reehl Dodge Kenyon; nephews, Keith and David Dodge, Stephen Kenyon, Clyde and Ernest Kenyon, John, Charles and Robert Webster; and niece, Barbara Daverin. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Elaine Reehl Webster, and his brother-in-law, Ivan C. Webster. A funeral service will be held at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment in North Chatham Cemetery.
