Dear Peggy-
My family sends sincere sympathy to you & your family on the passing of your husband Geroge.
My thoughts, although hazy, go back to an evening when, on Marwood Street, I was with you, George, & your brother Bill at your Morther's kitchen table helping to fill small cellophane packages which I later sold for you @ 25 cents each, in front of Whitney's department store. It was in the fifties, the week before Christmas; the packages were filled with mistletoe!
In hoping these fond memories, in some small way, help ease your burden in this most difficult time.

I am so sorry for the loss of your Dad...I lived on Manning Blvd. next to the house your Dad owned...how surprised was I the day I rang the bell collecting for the Heart Association and you answered the door! Here were two "Mercy" girls reconnecting after so many years...I remember it so well! I know your wonderful memories will carry you through the difficult days...

My thoughts and prayers go out to the "Stackman Family". When I was a young man and worked at "Sons' Tavern", Alfie took me under his wing and treated me like I was his own son. I will never forget his kindness, his work ethic and his beautiful spirit. He had a lot to do with the kind of family man I grew up to be and I am eternally thankful to him. To The Stackman family- Words cannot express the loss of Mr. Stackman to our family! We shall truly miss him. He was like an Uncle to my brother and I when we were growing up. My Dad cherished his friendship so much! So many happy memories of days at the pool and the family parties and at Sons for dinner. He was a life saver to our Mom when our Dad had to travel for work. We shall miss him so much! Such a wonderful man - he shall live in hearts forever. Our hearts and prayers to you during this difficult time.
